Use two iron fence stakes driven into the ground about two feet out from the trunk on opposite sides of the tree. Use a soft wire tied to the stake about waist to shoulder high and then put the other end through a soft section of hose to go around the tree's trunk so as not to cut into the trunk. Don't make the wires tight; leave a little slack for the wind to move the trunk. This will prevent damage and help the trunk to strengthen. In a few months you should be able to remove the wires. Don't leave them too long or they can begin to damage the trunk as it grows.
