One of my golden sword yucca plants is ailing. The leaves, all but centre three stems have fallen flat to the ground. This is their first year of planting.Three adjacent yuccas are thriving. What could be the problem? |
Yuccas are usually very easy to grow in a sunny, well drained location with average soil so it is a bit difficult to make a guess, however it is possible that one is failing to thrive because it is planted too deeply or is possibly in a spot that is not as well drained as the others, or for some reason is receiving extra watering or excessive surface runoff. There is also the possibility of accidental herbicide contact, unusual root damage, or something like that having happened. Since these are new this year, you might also want to check back with your retailer, especially in case there is a warranty involved. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you. |
