Mimosa blooms - Knowledgebase Question

I have 2 mimosa trees in full sun and 1 in partial shade. None of the three bloom. Do I have all male trees or what? thanks!

Mona,

No, there are no male mimosa trees. They sometimes take a while to start blooming especially if grown from seed. However with adequate light and some time to settle in and become well established, they should begin blooming. Hopefully next summer! In the meantime don't fertilize them unless they lack any good vigor or color and keep the soil moist during extended dry spells of summer.
