| I have a cordyline (not sure of the name its just a common green one). It has just flowered with white flowers. I have left the plant alone; the flowers have died back and now new shoots are forming. Do I have to cut the old flower stem back? The stem is very firm and half way down it looks like it might flower again. Any ideas? |
| The flowering stem should be cut down to foliage level when the flowers are spent. No matter how hopeful it looks, unlike orchids which can rebloom on the same flowering stem, cordylines only produce on flush of blooms per stem. Cut the stem down and your plant will produce a new flowering stem. |
