What would you suggest for perennials around a fountain in my front yard? It is N/W exposure. Thank-you in advance. Lynn Wolf

Many gardeners choose fountain shaped plants such as ornamental grasses or daylilies to accentuate the shape of the fountain; others prefer low growing plants so as not to detract from the beauty of the fountain. I would choose plants with a preference for cool, moist soil (hosta, viola, impatiens, ferns) and avoid those that like dry conditions (geraniums and lavender, for instance).

Best wishes with your garden!
