Would it be better to wait until next spring or is it Ok to plant in September? The tree will be 3

Fall is actually a great time to plant. It allows the roots some time to begin getting established and a head start on the spring. Do not fertilize it at planting time, you do not want to encourage top growth at this time of year. Good luck with your new tree!
