What is the best time of year to plant the seeds from a calycanthus and how long does it take for them to germinate? Thank you

Sow the seeds directly outdoors in the fall. They should germinate and begin to grow sometime next spring. If you wish to plant them in pots, that is fine too, but do so outdoors so they can be exposed to the overwintering cold and moisture.
