What are the best flowers and plants for fort worth texas, high heat and drought very little to no sun area |
Teresa, That is a pretty open question as there are a multitude of great options including annuals, perennials, shrubs, vines, etc. In shade the plant options do decrease however. I would suggest a few to consider include Hinkley's columbine, various ferns (will need water), American beautyberry, daffodils (if the trees above are deciduous), and impatiens for summer (if you can provide regular watering). Your Tarrant County Extension Office (817-884-1944) has free information on all these types of plants that do well in your area. They also have Master Gardeners answering the phones that can assist you with the best choices as well as how to plant and care for them. The more specific and the more detailed you can be, the better for us to answer it effectively. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
