Is there an ideal tree for use inside a screened in Pool area? Something that will not grow more than 8-10 feet or wider than 5 foot in width?

Robert,

There is not necessarily an ideal tree but you have several options. Some that get larger than 8-10 feet may be kept in bounds by periodic pruning.

Some options include palms such as:
Butia palm (Butia spp.) may get larger in time.
Broad-leaf lady palm (Rhapis excelsa)
Slender lady palm (Rhapis humilis)
Needle palm (Rhapidophyllum hystrix)

Golden-dewdrop (Duranta repens) is a bush that get to be the right size for your area that could be pruned into a mini tree form.
