The Q&A Archives: azalea

Question: I have an azalea plant that has lost all its leaves but the plant is not dead. What happened?

Answer: Sudden leaf drop in azaleas can indicate water stress (either drought or soggy conditions caused by poor drainage), or the reaction to chemicals sprayed on or near the plant. A healthy azalea will produce new foliage. Hope yours does!
