The Q&A Archives: Kaffir Lilly

Question: My Kaffir Lilly has such a dense foliage that there is no room for the flower to open, as it is being squeezed shut by the foliage. How do I make room for the flower to bloom?

Answer: Wish there were a solution I could offer, but Clivia produces very colorful flowers which tend to be hidden among the large textured leaves. The foliage of healthy plants is naturally dense, and there isn't anything you can do to change the nature of the plant. Enjoy your garden!
