There are two areas I am considering plant Cordyline Festival Grass but I don't know if the lighting conditions are suitable.

Will the Cordyline thrive in afternoon sun only during the spring/summer and indirect light during the winter?

Will the Cordyline thrive in 3 hours of morning sun only?

If the Cordyline will not work under these conditions, can you suggest another red or burgundy colored tropical plant that would work with these sun conditions?

Thank you

Cordyline Festival Grass will have the deepest color when grown in full sunshine, but will adapt to afternoon sun only or morning sunshine only. These are such striking plants that I think they're worth a try in the sites you describe.

Enjoy!
