My long pink radishes grow up 3 inches and then the tops fall over before they make big roots?

Some possible causes for your problem with radish are:
weather too warm, too much nitrogen fertilier, pH too low (acid soil) or too much or too little water.

Radish require cool weather. This is a good time to plant in your area. Soil should befertile with
plenty of organic matter, however, only a small amount of a complete fertilizer should be worked into soil at planting time. Radish mature so fast, about 28 days from planting. I have never felt it necessary to add any additional fertilizer after planting.

Also make sure the planting bed contains loose, well drained soil so the roots can penetrate the soil easily. Work the soil to at least 6-8 inches deep.
