| What do Grubs look like? I have these short, fat, real ugly bumpy worm looking things with brownish blackish heads in my yard, they dig down in the yard, are they eating the roots of my grass? Do you know if they are poisonous? My dog hears them down in the ground and diggs them up, bites them in half. Do you have a suggestion on what kind of lawn treatment I can use to kill them. Also my neiborhood gets swarmed by whiteflies, they are every where, around late summer early fall, through winter. Can you suggest a pesticide for them, mole crickets, sluggs / snails, and the worms. Thank you for your help! |
| Debbie, Grubs are not poisonous, but I'm pretty impressed with that dog! Grubs are present in most lawns but are only a problem worth treating when their numbers are high which is about 5-7 or more per square foot. Treatments are put down in early July so as to get them most effect while the grubs are still small and near the surface. As summer progresses they go deeper and are not effectively reached or controlled with treatments.
