Grubs are not poisonous, but I'm pretty impressed with that dog!
Grubs are present in most lawns but are only a problem worth treating when their numbers are high which is about 5-7 or more per square foot. Treatments are put down in early July so as to get them most effect while the grubs are still small and near the surface. As summer progresses they go deeper and are not effectively reached or controlled with treatments.
