The Q&A Archives: We are having a problem raising fire power nandinas.

Question: We are Harris Nursery in Danville, Va. we are a customer of yours so I don't feel to bad about asking for help. The plants look fine in 1 gal. pots but when they are stepped up into 2 gal. pots we start having trouble at this time of year. The tops (new growth) turns light yellow and the roots are brown. I am a bedding plant person. THe roots do not appear like root rot. We irregate with pond water and raise them in shade except for late afternoon sun. I appreciate knowing Ph requirments and suggested fertilizer. Thank you for your trouble Diane Harris Harris Nursery and Greenhouses Inc. Danville, Va. Fax 434-685-3877
