Hinoki Cyprus planted in the front of my house 1990.
Currently it is about 9 feet high and 7 feet wide.

It is too big for its location.
Can it be prunned/trimmed, and if yes how much and when?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, this plant does not lend itself to trimming because it does not regrow from old wood. You can trim the newest growth lightly, but a major pruning will not work well. I'm sorry.
