The Q&A Archives: Ixora plants

Question: What kind of soil do you need for planting ixoras.
Do they require any spraying for insects? How often do they need watering?

Answer: Peggy,

Ixora prefers an acidic soil with lots of organic matter mixed in. They also need good drainage. When you water thoroughly wet the soil and then allowing it to dry out slightly before watering again. They are not prone to insect problems but may be attacked by root knot nematodes.
