I would like to try growing rice indoors, but need further information. Can you give me any info on how to get supplies and instruction?

Probably your best source of rice is a health-food store. Look for raw or untreated rice grains that still have some green under the outer coating. To grow rice you'll need 6" pots with good-sized holes in the bottom, and some soil less potting mix. Fill the pots with potting mix, place the rice grains about 1/4 inch deep, water well and put the pots in a tray filled with 2 or 3 inches of water. Keep the water level at least an inch deep and give the plants at least 12 hours of bright light each day. Seed heads should form in two to three months.

Sounds like an interesting project - good luck with it!
