I have some very young Malaysisn coconut trees recently planted. They are about 2-3 feet tall. The tips on the leaves are yellow and brown. Is that some deficiency? I have used the Palm Trees fertilizer from Home Depot. Also some Epson Salt deluted in water. Thank you

Johannes,

Sounds like you have fertilized adequately. It could be a bit of root stress from either drought or soggy soil (poor drainage) as young trees have a very limited root system that is easily prone to such problems. Give them some time and continue to watch the soil moisture to avoid extremes. You might also be careful to avoid overfertilizing as such can burn roots and cause leaf tip browning.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
