What is the best time of year to prune Parney's Red Clusterberry? Also, should pruning be done on new or old growth? My plant has grown rapidly and while it has a beautiful shape, it is quickly getting too big for the space it is in. Can it safely be transplanted? If so, when and what is best technique? Thank you.

Clusterberry (Cotoneaster lacteus) should be pruned immediately after flowering to keep it within bounds. If your plant has outgrown its space, you can safely transplant it in the fall or in the spring, when weather is cool and rainfall abundant. These factors will lessen transplant shock. Best wishes with your garden!
