Can you suggest a ground cover for a shady area around stepping stones that will not grow grass?

Dichondra makes a delightful groundcover, especially around stepping stones because it takes some foot traffic without becoming stressed. Dichondra usually requires consistent moisture, so prepare the planting area well by incorporating some organic matter which will help hold moisture for the roots of the plants.
