Can a cordyline be left outside during a British winter?

This depends on which Cordyline you have and where it is planted, including the microclimate. Some cultivars are only hardy to about 40 degrees Farenheit, others are slightly more cold tolerant to say 30 degrees or so. In general I would suggest bringing it into a sheltered area during the colder months.
