I just planted a lot of Steven Hollies and several of them are losing all thier leaves while others are doing great. I've been watering every day since planting last week as there's been no rain. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks

Shane,

Stresses from roots being damaged or drying out prior to or during transplanting are possible causes. I should also add that soggy soil conditions can occur from over watering or from poorly drained soil or even the "underground bathtub" created by the planting hole if the soil is clayey. Try to avoid watering too much, just give it enough to maintain moderate moisture.
