Is it possible to plant peas in a large hanging basket? If so, what would be the best variety?

You can grow most anything in a container or hanging basket, provided you supply plenty of water (containers dry out quickly). Peas are cool season vegetables but they like bright sunshine so plant the seeds early in the season.

You'd probablybe happier with a vining type pea rather than a bush type, so choose "Super Snappy", or "Super Sugar Snap". It would probably be a good idea to provide the vines with something to climb on. Otherwise, if you let the vines hang down with no support they might pull the plant right out of the basket.
