The Q&A Archives: Pruning Mimosa

Question: When do you prune a mimosa tree?

Answer: Mimosa trees produce flowers on new growth so you'll want to prune them in the early spring, just as the buds begin to swell on the branches. Take the branches back to 5-6 buds.
