I have very young oak and bradford pears trees and I am looking for evergreen plants to plant in flower bed around these trees.

Tabby,

There are quite a few options. The dwarf yaupon is a low growing shrub to consider. I also like the shrimp plant and perhaps a dwarf gardenia or dwarf azalea if you can keep the area moist. As the oaks get larger and there is dependable shade around their base consider cast iron plant, and holly fern.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
