The nice thing about Nuccio's Bella Rossa Camellia is that it is so adaptable. In your gardening region, you can plant in morning sun or dappled afternoon sun, but it would be best to avoid direct afternoon sunshine. It will grow in full shade but flower best if the shade it growing in is not deep shade but bright shade, such as you'd find under the canopy of a deciduous tree with narrow leaves. Hope this clarifies things for you!
