The Q&A Archives: first time gardener

Question: Do geraniums come back each year or should I pull them up? I'm trying to get my garden ready for bulbs and want to get some in. please help.
thank you marsha

Answer: In your cold winter gardening zone, geraniums should be considered annual plants. Go ahead and pull them up, then amend the soil with some organic matter prior to planting your bulbs. Hope you have a colorful spring!
