The Q&A Archives: Pampas grass

Question: I have the beautiful pampas grass and I want to know how to care for it this winter so it will come back again next year.

Answer: The tops of your plant will die back over the winter months but the roots should remain alive without any special treatment. In the spring, just as new growth begins, cut out all the dead foliage (to ground level if possible) and your pampas grass should become full and green in a few short weeks. Enjoy!
