Is Cedrus Atlantica Glauca self-polinating? We have a beautiful tree, about 20 yrs old, and it is putting out lots of pollen. Will we get those cute little cones? |
Your Blue Atlas Cedar is in the process of developing cones. Male (pollen) cones are about 5 cm long, erect, and release clouds of yellow pollen in the fall. Female (seed) cones are barrel-shaped, upright, 5-7.5 cm long, and require 2 years to mature. Patience is all it will take! |
