OUR ARALIA'S HAS BROWN SOPTS ON LEAVES COULD IT BE OVER WATERING OR ARE THEY GETTING TO MUCH SUN

If it is due to sun the spots will be on the sunniest parts of the foliage...those most directly hit by the sun. The plant can be affected by diseases when the foliage is wet frequently. If you can redo the watering system to a drip systen or a lower directed spray this may help. Trim away damaged leaves in late winter and new growth will soon appear to make the plant look better again.
