The Q&A Archives: Balboa Sunset Trumpet Vine-how do I divide so I can have more

Question: I bought a BAlboa Sunset Trumpet vine by you. It is growing
beautifully on a trunk of a tree. I would like to put it on other

trees. How do I divide it and when? Thank you. Sherry Walker
Also, do you have a catalogue?

Answer: Monrovia is a wholesale only nursery and does not sell retail by catalog or the internet, but there is an online plant catalog at the web site for reference purposes. Monrovia plants are carried by independent retailers nationwide, you can use the dealer locator at the web site to look for them by zip code.

This cultivar of Campsis radicans is usually started by cuttings taken in early summer or by root division in early spring. I prefer the tip cuttings because it is far less damaging to the parent plant. Here are some instructions on how to take cuttings from shrubs, the techniue is the same for vines. You may need to cut and paste the url into your browser to make it work correctly.

You might also consider layering.

Good luck with your project!
