I would like to plant a small Japanese garden in my front flower bed in Houston, Texas. What shrubs or flowering plants can you recommend for a garden that receives full sun.

Some plants to consider include dwarf yaupon, low growing or prostrate junipers of various types, 'Crimson Pigmy' Japanese barberry, Chinese witchhazel, and other evergreen shrubs such as upright types of yaupon or juniper that are trained to a spiral or pom-pom type style.
