Does the flower carpet groundcover rose lose its leaves in the winter?

It sounds like it would be a good plant for our border that is in full sun, but I was looking for something evergreen.

Thanks,

Claire Cano

In your warm winter growing region, roses tend to hold most of their leaves all winter long. There's no guarantee; you may have an unusual cold snap, but for the most part, I think carpet roses will retain their leaves through the winter for you.
