| There are a number of conifers that fit that description! Pinus contorta var. latifolia, a dwarf Lodgepole pine, is one possiblility; Pinus muricata and Pinus sylvestris 'Contorta' (Scotch Pine) both have trunks and branches that are twisted and gnarled.
