The Q&A Archives: Tree Identification

Question: THere is a tree in my yard that looks like a Mimosa tree, what other tree might it be?

Answer: Janice,

There are many trees with similar types of compound leaf form like a mimosa. You might contact your County Extension Office or a local garden center and see about bringing a plant sample in for them to identify. If they have a sample or photo in hand they may be better able to tell you which plant it is.
