The Q&A Archives: Star Pine Growing time

Question: I would like to plant a Star Pine tree in my front yard. The Star Pine tree is said to be a moderate grower and will reach 40 to 50 feet tall. My question is how long will that take? How many inches of growth per year?

Answer: Araucaria heterophylla, the Star Pine, can be expected to grow up to 24" per season once established. If planted in a shady area, the growth rate will be reduced. Hope this answers your question!
