| I am now trying my second Mandevilla after my first one just up and died on me. I notice that your comments say direct sun. I do not have a south window in my house that I can put a plant at. I have northern and eastern exposure only. The plant I now have was just dug up out of an outdoor garden and is very healthy and did have some beautiful blooms on it, but they are now falling off and the bottom leaves are turning yellow. How wet should it be kept? Would a grow light be an answer? Thanks for your help. Bonny Bellamy |
| A gro-light would certainly remedy the lack of sunlight for your mandevilla. Keep the light on 14-16 hours a day and your mandevilla should grow and bloom as if it were outdoors in a tropical paradise. Since you've recently dug your plant and taken it indoors, it is probably going through an adjustment period (different temperatures, humidity and light). You can prune it back, keep it in damp but not wet soil and place it under (or near) a grow light and it should perk right up for you. Best wishes with your mandevilla! |
