Are Pittosporum Tobira safe from deer appetites? If not, what type of similar plant (or even taller) would you recommend to plant in the fall. I am asking this question for my sister and she has many deer in her yard. Thank you. Lucy |
Lucy, I searched our deer resistant plant lists and found that Pittosporum was not on any list. Thus I suspect that deer if hungry might eat that plant. Some plants that they prefer to not eat unless they are starving include junipers, Chinese holly, dwarf yaupon holly, dwarf Japanese barberry, cotoneaster, and boxwood. Thanks for the question.
