I have had a good deal of success transplating indeginous trees and would like your opinion on when best to do this. I have had luck so far transplating the 3 & 4 year old trees in October when they're losing the last of their leaves. Would it be better to do this in early spring or is my schedule o.k. as is?

Joe,

Fall is the best time. Both Octover and November give the plant the most time to establish roots and get ready for the long hot stressful summer season to come next year.
