The leaves on my carissa hollies are are turning brown and falling off the bush. I cannot find any information to tell what might be the cause. Can you help? Thanks |
It is really difficult to diagnose a plant problem without actually seeing it, but the usual cause for browning foliage on hollies is drought, or over-saturated soil. If your soil drains poorly, it can cause root rot, which will show up as browning foliage. I'd suggest taking a sample of the leaves (or an entire branch) to your local Cooperative Extension office or even a well staffed nursery for help in diagnosing the problem. Best wishes with your holly! |
