These plants should not require extra care in your area, your zip code place syou in zone 5B or the warmer part of winter hardiness zone 5. The Blondy or Euonymus fortunei 'Interbolwji' is considered hardy to zone 5, the Euonymus alatus "Timber Creek" to zone 4 and the PJM rhododendron is also very winter hardy. All you should need to do is mulch heavily over the root area in late fall. If they are in a windy location you might provide the rhododendron with a winter windbreak and also possibly treat it with an antidessicant or antitranspirant spray (sold at garden centers and nurseries) per the label instructions. Enjoy!
