This is a semi-shrubby perennial that requires full sun and an extremely well drained soil and blooms only intermittently (more heavily late in the season) so I do not think it will suit your needs. You might want to look among the plants sold as annuals specifically, to assure a long and consistent blooming period. One of the Salvia splendens might be a better choice for example. Your local professional nursery staff may have other suggestions based on a more detailed understanding of your design goals.
