What is the best way to prepare a bermuda grass lawn for winter to ensure a beautiful lawn in spring? |
Suzanne, A late season feeding in late September is fine. I would not bother with that now. There is little else to do now except wait for spring. Don't overseed with rye as this stresses the bermuda turf a lot in spring during the transitional period. In late April fertilize with a 3-1-2 ratio product at a rate of 1 pound of nitrogen per 1000 square feet. Repeat in early and mid summer. Mow as often as you can for the best turf density. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
