| Your questions are pretty general, so I don't whether you're starting seeds, or just moving indoor plants into your greenhouse. Any pot with adequate drainage holes, either plastic or terra cotta, can be used for any plant in the greenhouse. If you're starting seeds, use plastic trays and then transplant the seedlings to 4" plastic pots. Keep repotting into the next size pot as the plants outgrow their homes. New seedlings should be growing in moist soil. Older plants can goa week or even two without water, because the greenhouse will provide moisture to the leaves. Water needs depend on the types of plants you're growing. Orchids like lots of moisture, cactus don't. The best method of checking to see if the soil isgetting dry is to stick your finger down into it. If the soil is moist below the top one-inch, the plant should be happy. If the soil is dry beyond the second joint of your finger, water the plant. Hope this information helps. |
