I received a pink snowberry plant that is around 2 feet tall and clusters of berries on them and I have chickens and ducks. I needed to know if the berries or the plant itself is poisonios to them if they eat it ? Thanks , you were recommemnded by Thomsons in Marietta Ohio. |
Symphoricarpos berries are eaten by wild birds and animals and the plants were used by native Americans medicinally so overall they would not be considered toxic. However, I am not able to find toxicity information specifically related to chickens or ducks. For this reason I would strongly suggest you also consult with your veterinarian for advice. I'm sorry I can't be more definite for you. |
