I am currently using Celebrity Tomatoes and they are very good. However I would like to find two types of tomatoes, both medium sized. One would be juicey and tangy for eating fresh and for juice (frozen). The other would be more meaty for sauces but still tangy. Seeds are not a particular problem. Any suggestions?

Spartanburg! Wow does that bring back memories! We spent weeks there each summer when I was a child visiting my aunt. Good times! For juice and sauce, I would go with 'Viva Italia Hybrid', it is very good for that purpose. 'Big Beef' also makes good juice (it is an indeterminate plant though, unlike the 'Celebrity' which is determinate). 'Big Boy' has thick walled flesh which makes it "meatier", the "meatiest" of all (in my opinion) is 'Burpee's Supersteak Hybrid', but you mentioned you want medium sized fruit and these whoppers can reach 2 lbs.! For slicing, I would try 'Husky Gold' or 'Big Girl'. Both are indeterminate varieties so the growth pattern will be a little different, they will need to be staked or caged. An added plus is 'Husky Gold', 'Big Girl', 'Burpee Supersteak Hybrid' and 'Viva Italia' have disease resistance. All of these varieties are available from Burpee.
