covering up wildflowers?? - Knowledgebase Question

my wildflowers seeds germinating beautiful,but.when the first frost comes how do i keep those warm?? mulching??? they need sunlight and air..how do i keep those later from feezing/ i live in fort worth texas

Brigitte,

If they are wild flowers that are suited for your area there is no need to protect them. It is normal for many species including bluebonnets for example to sprout in fall and stay small through winter before growing into large blooming plants. They do need to be in an area where they get good sunlight however or they will not do well at all.
