I have a queen palm in my front yard that a few months ago during a bad wind/rain storm a new frond that wasn't ready to open yet from the center of the tree died. it was just hanging down. adventually it just came out. since then it hasn't sprouted a new frond. the others are green and seem to fine. is my tree dying or does it just take awhile for new fronds to grow?

Stacey,

It probably is just taking a little time. The only way the tree would be dead is if the growing bud in the top end of the trunk was somehow killed. I seriously doubt that this happened in the storm.
