Question: I am a first year student in the SSCC horticulture program. We are to do research on the various structures on varieties of our choosing for a term project. Could you answer the following.

What type of fruits (seed) to the following plants have?

'August Beauty' Gardenia

'Star Jasmine' (Trachelospermum jasminoides)

Winter Jasimine (Jasminum polyanthum)

Answer: The fruit of Trachelospermum jasminoids is inconspicuous, pod-like, 1-3 inches, with a hard, dry covering. Jasminum polyanthum fruits are inedible, small and globose. Hope this information is helpful.
